Glasgow’s most instagrammable cafe rolls into Ibrox

How would you describe Glasgow if you had to do so in 3 words? Us? Well we would say vibrant, gallus and friendly. This spirited personality is prevalent in people and places citywide and that is just one of the reasons Tasting Scotland HQ is located in Scotland’s largest city.

When we are not touring with clients from around the globe, we are out scouting for new artisan producers who are going above and beyond with their craft in both Glasgow and beyond. We are also partial to a bit of cafe hopping, seeking out those that shine the brightest. Whether that be in the coffee they serve, the delightful grub, the decor, the personality of the place – and those that nail it all?  Well they get our vote.

Good Times Roll Ibrox

We happened upon an absolute gem in Ibrox last week, Good Times Roll, where we met one of the amazing proprietors for a top notch ‘Special’ (Fresh Chorizo, Scrambled Egg, Spring Onion and Siracha Mayo all served on a crispy Mortons Roll ) and delicious Dear Green coffee to accompany.

Sheri Scott has long been on of Glasgow’s leading influencers. This orange haired beauty/ business woman blogs, vlogs, runs her own PR consultancy, as well as being a style editor of amazing online fashion and lifestyle magazine Fashion Fix Daily.

Having opened Good Times Roll with her partner Steven Eddie in March 2018, they have worked hard to bring together the very best ingredients from an array of Glasgow producers, giving this super cute eatery real standout.

So what do we love about this unmissable ‘Roll Shoap’?

  • Good Times Roll IbroxThe menu – it’s simple, to the point and what is featured is of the finest quality. Cakes and tattie scones are all made in-house and are divine.
  • The vegan offering – which is equally as strong as the meat options. This was an important factor to Sheri, so much so she was delighted to become the first stockist of vegan sausage from Rose & Grant’s, a cafe located in the Merchant City of Glasgow.
  • It is surely Glasgow’s most instagramable cafe. The decor, which Sheri describes as having a 60s meets 80s vibe. This is prevalent in the colours, the cutlery, the style of tables, the cactus in the window. Infact Sheri spoke of being influenced by 80s computer games when it came to the choice of paint and styling and we would challenge anyone who has devoured a roll and sausage in more quirky surrounds.
  • The fact it is dog friendly which is becoming more and more important for consumers with four-legged friends.

All this chat is making us hungry, who’s rolling with us to 208-210 Copeland Road?!

Good Times Roll IbroxThank you to Sheri for having us and be sure to catch up with her @foreveryoursbetty and follow @g00dtimesroll on insta.

Have a great weekend folks,

The Tasting Scotland Team.
