Foodie Conversations from Scotland: #ScotFood returns tonight

Wherever you are in the world there is no better time to soak up a few Scottish food and drink insights than during the #ScotFood Twitter hour.  But what is it, when is it and how do I get involved?

It’s a Tweet Up, same as the others that exist in Twitter in this world of digital and pretty much instant everything. Perhaps you have already joined in on #ScotlandHour?  If you have a Twitter account follow us @TastingScotland (and do @Eat_Scottish too as ‘Scotland Food & Drink’ are hosting the new series of #ScotFood, which starts tonight.

Between 9 – 10pm (GMT) the conversation will feature a range of questions and answers which are based on Scotland’s fabulous food and drink.

Each question starts with a Q followed by the question number and each answer with an A and the question number.  The system is straight forward and very easy to pick up. It can move pretty quickly, which makes it even more fun and if you are planning visiting Scotland or are a local and want to discover more of what is on your doorstep, it’s a great way to do it in gig time. Tweets come in from food and drink producers, tour operators like us, chefs, people who would love to visit, are visiting or have visited Scotland in the past and others who randomly get caught up in such a vibrant conversation.

Tonight’s topic is based on what we will be eating and doing for Scotland’s national patron saint day, St Andrews. So why not join us and soak up a little online tasting plate of Scotland; Land of Food & Drink? You’ll be glad you did.

Can’t make it tonight?  Here’s the dates in 2015, the ‘Year of Food and Drink’. macsween_venisonhaggis
